Women of FIRST

Every woman yearns for friends who will walk with her through life's joys and sorrows. Women of FIRST is designed for women of all ages to know that they are uniquely gifted by God. It is our desire for women to find a place to study the Word of God and equip them to use the gifts that God has given them.

For more information about Women of FIRST, please contact Coordinator April Walley, or call the church office at 830-625-9124.

America has the largest number of churches and seminaries, Christian schools and colleges, Christian bookstores and resources, Christian radio and TV stations, and yet…America is becoming less Christian every day. We All Need To Know:
  • What’s Happening?
  • Why It’s Happening?
  • How We Can Reverse It?

The Bible MUST be brought back to the forefront of our homes! Join Children's Pastor Doug Dunnavant every Wednesday Night from 6:00-7:30 as we answer and explore these questions and more as part of our Leaving a Legacy workshop.

Missions

Dress a Girl Around the World

The Women of FIRST invite you to make pillowcase-type dresses for orphans for the Dress a Girl Around the World ministry. We schedule sewing days periodically throughout the year. You can come learn how to make a dress, or come enjoy fellowship and share your experience if you already know how to make them. We also have donated fabric available for you to use if you'd like. Download instructions here if you'd like to keep sewing at home throughout the year. We will be sending all of our dresses twice a year to headquarters for shipment around the world. If you have dresses you would like to include in the shipment, we would be happy to collect them in our church office. We can add the Dress a Girl labels to your dresses for you. For more information, please contact Carolyn Daves at rcdaves@gvtc.com.
