Plan Your Visit

Our COVID-19 protocol

Thank you for checking out! If there is anything more we can do to help you plan your visit, please feel free to contact us at 830-625-9124, or email We look forward to meeting you!

We have several parking options at First Baptist. Our large main parking lot is accessible from Lee St and Guenther Ave.
The parking area nearest the Sanctuary is reserved for visitors and those with handicaps. In case those are full, additional parking is located in:

  • Two parking annexes across Guenther Ave from the church
  • Along the street

If you need to drop a passenger off nearer the building before finding a parking space, the best place is at the awning nearest the Sanctuary entrance in the large parking lot (the left end of the campus when looking at the building from the parking lot). There are no stairs to that entrance. If stairs are not a problem, the Cross St entrance is close as well.

Worship Services - 9:30 and 11:00

Gather in-person for worship in the Sanctuary at 9:30 and 11:00 AM every Sunday, with overflow seating available in Rushing Hall. Or worship with us online at 11:00 AM. Worship services at First Baptist are planned to be authentic in content, driven by truth revealed through Scripture, and focused on bringing people into a face-to-face encounter with the Living God. Music is led by a combination of choir and praise band with a mixture of traditional and contemporary hymns. We encourage you to come, discover, and grow as we worship together.

Interpretation for the Deaf
Our Christ's Hands ministry offers interpretation for the Deaf during 11:00 worship. The interpreter is situated at the front left of the Sanctuary as you are looking at the platform. If you need help, one of our friendly greeters will be happy to help guide you. Christ's Hands is also available to all ministries of FBCNB as needed. For more information, please contact Pastor Jared Walley at

The nursery is available for children birth-4 years (downstairs E Bldg) at 9:30 (small group) and 11:00.* Children 5 and up are invited to participate in the worship service with their families. Children's Activity Bags are available at the Welcome Center in the Sanctuary foyer. Please return bags after the service.
*Preschoolers who were checked in for Small Group Bible Study do not need to be rechecked in during the Worship Service.
We also have tvs available in the foyer, Rushing Hall, and a smaller private Nursing Room so that you can still be a part of worship if you need to step out momentarily.

What Do I Wear?
You are welcome to wear appropriate clothing you feel comfortable in. You'll see a variety of styles from clean informal to Sunday finest, particularly as we celebrate Christmas and Resurrection Sunday.

What Will the Music Be Like?
What a joy and privelege it is to lift up praises to our Lord together! Worship Pastor James Passman leads our praise team, choir, and congregation together in a worshipful blend of traditional and contemporary music. Every Friday, we post our Sunday bulletin to the Latest News section of our homepage. The inside of the bulletin includes the songs we will sing Sunday. Check out our YouTube playlists below. One is a catalog of songs from previous worship services, and one contains the songs for this coming Sunday.
