Mission Trip to Wales
June 19-29, 2022
Cost TBD
Team of eight max

FBCNB is organizing a mission trip to Wales to partner with local missionaries for the following:
Prayer Walking
We consider prayer to be our most important need on the field in this ministry, so prayer-walking is a highly strategic need for the areas where we minister.
Narrative Mapping
Narrative mapping is being able to understand a place and a people group better to assist in relating to them more effectively.
Missional Conversations Teams
Missional conversations are initial interactions with Welsh speakers where Christian faith and spirituality can be shared naturally and conversationally.

If you are interested in joining the team or would like more information, please contact Pastor Jared as soon as possible at jared@fbcnb.org or 830-625-9124. Make plans now to participate in the crucial training seminar on January 22nd (see below).

Deprogramming Our Faith: How to Share the Good News of Jesus Wherever God Has Sent You
Saturday, January 22, 2022
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Rushing Hall
With Trey & Amelia McCain

"Many people ask us, 'What do your day-to-day lives look like?' Rather than inviting people to church, we embrace the sent nature of God and His call to 'go and make disciples.' A simple rubric has helped to guide how we invest our time and resources: the Sixfold Incarnational Strategy. In these workshops, we'll share how God has sent us to:

  • Cultivate rhythms of prayer
  • Share Jesus stories
  • Keep an open home
  • Serve our community
  • Hang out faithfully, and
  • Connect with others through our interests
This is a good opportunity for people who are asking the questions, 'How is God leading me to serve my community and share His Good News?' It's also crucial training for those who want to join us short-term in Europe."

Lunch and childcare (birth-5 years) will be provided.

Operation Christmas Child is one of many projects of Samartan's Purse, an international relief organization, whose mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Samaritan's Purse ships these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.

Shoeboxes are available in the Sanctuary foyer, or you can use or purchase you're own if you'd like. Here's how to pack, or you can choose to build a box online. Return your packed shoebox gifts, along with the $9 shipping per box, to the foyer by Sunday, November 14th. Please make checks payable to Samaritan's Purse. You can also pay online.

And while you're at it, it's never too early to be scoping out sales for next year's collection! Here are some tips for making the best of seasonal savings year-round.

Jesus says that the world will know us by our love (John 13:35). Our hearbeat should be for others. FBCNB should be known for our love. To help communicate this drive, we are excited to dub our local missions ministry "I Love NB." We "Love NB" because God first loved us, and we are excited to lead people to Jesus. What better way to lead people to Jesus than by serving them with love? We desire to be "salt and light" to our neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family. We "Love NB" by providing school supplies, praying for First Responders, delivering Thanksgiving baskets, and witnessing to our neighbors. Please join us as we commit to "Love NB."
