Worship services at First Baptist are planned to be authentic in content, driven by truth revealed through scripture, and focused on bringing people into a face-to-face encounter with the Living God. Style and form may move with the times but the anchoring concept driving corporate worship will always center on true worshippers touching eternity driven by Spirit and Truth.
In any given week, the face of worship may take many forms as we seek to speak truth to multiple generations, yet we stand unified in our belief that our God, who is worshipped across the globe in languages and styles we may never understand, will not be defined or limited.
We believe the same God who takes the time to create unique individuals also desires to be uniquely and creatively worshiped. The face of worship at First Baptist is as unique as the faces of the individuals He created.
Our 10:45 service is led by a combination of choir and praise band with a mixture of traditional and contemporary hymns.
There is a unique, God-inspired and created place for you to worship at First Baptist Church. We encourage you to come, discover, grow and touch eternity as we worship together.
Rehearsing each Wednesday evening at 7:00, the Sanctuary Choir teams up with the praise band to lead worship on Sunday mornings. Under the direction of Worship Pastor, James Passman, the choir performs a wide variety of music to include hymn arrangements, choral classics, and adaptations of modern worship choruses.
The Sanctuary Choir is a non-auditioned group open to all who want to come and sing. A love for the Lord and a love for music are the only two preconditions for membership. For more information, please email email@example.com.
TONIGHT, WEDNESDAY 3/29
DUE TO BUS ACCIDENT
At approximately 2 pm this afternoon, a group of our senior adults were returning home from a 3-day retreat at Alto Frio Baptist Encampment when their vehicle was involved in a head-on collision.
We have heard that there have been fatalities, but we have not received any official details from the local authorities.
We are ministering to family members to help them deal with this tragedy. Counselors will be on hand at the church tomorrow.
If you're a Christian, you can pray for those who lost their loved ones and for the church family.
