AWOL - A Work of Love
AWOL is First Baptist Church's ministry for people aged 55 and older.  AWOL meets needs and interest through information and fellowship, and our experienced volunteers fill many positions and responsibilities throughout the church.  AWOL also offers a wide range of special services including a monthly social luncheon and organizes opportunities to reach out into the community through Christmas projects serving the needy, working with homeless veterans, and more.  Senior adult minister Billy Barnes publishes a monthly newsletter for members.  Our members contribute to each other and all of the church from an abundance of talent, leadership, experience, and wisdom.
