Mom to Mom

Is Mom to Mom for Me?
You should come to Mom to Mom if...

  • You have made at least one trip to the maternity ward and survived to tell about it!
  • You have launched a child into adolescence and found yourself in unknown territory on more than one occasion!
  • Caffeine...need we say more?
  • You have an imperfect family but seek to know more about a perfect Savior
  • You long for interaction with women who have similar challenges and want to raise children with character, intergrity, and joy.
  • A marriage that continues to grow and flourish tops your priority list.
If you answered "yes" to any of the questions above, then we invite you to join us at Mom to Mom.  This group will meet every Wednesday from 9:00am - 11:00am in the Christian Life Center (CLC).  The $55 fee includes childcare, books, and supplies.  Contact the church office if you need assistance with the registration fee.

Our Mission
Our mission is to educate, encourage, and equip women for the most important job in the entire world -- parenting.  Through practical, Biblically-based teaching on parenting, and through supportive interaction in small groups led by experienced mothers, called "Titus 2" women (after the Titus 2:4 model in the Bible), we wish to foster growth not only in our parenting skills but in our wholeness as women - intellectually, relationally, and spiritually.

A Typical Morning
First, we gather for a large-group lecture on a topic pertinent to our lives as moms.  Linda Anderson, the founder of Mom to Mom, gives twelve "core curriculum" video lectures.  The mother of three married adult children and grandmother too, Linda has a background as an educator and reading specialist.  She's been teaching parenting groups and Bible studies for almost two decades and integrates much of her own life and reading into her Biblically-based teaching.

To supplement the core video lectures, we regularly welcome guest speakers - professionals, members of the community, and the church staff personnel - who address topics related to parenting and family life.

The lecture is followed by a coffee break, after which we gather in small groups led by an experienced mother to discuss the topic of the day and apply it to our own families.  The small groups provide a safe place to share the joys and trials of motherhood and to explore the promises and purposes God gives us as parents.
