Missions

Below are some of the prominent mission opportunities and ministries at FBCNB. This is not an exhaustive list, so if God has put something on your heart to seek or to start, please contact us at FirstBaptist@fbcnb.org or 830-625-9124.

Flood Relief in Vidor, TX
FBCNB has sent Pastor Gordon Hightower as a missionary to help with Hurricane Harvey Relief in the Beaumont/Vidor area, and he needs our help sorting and storing donations that are coming into a supply warehouse.
Volunteers will be staying at FBC Vidor, which has cots in rooms and a shower trailer on site. You will need to bring linens. The host church will provide breakfast and supper. You will be on your own for lunch. I'm told that there are restaurants open in the area.
If you are able to go for a few days, please contact Roy Daves at rcdaves@gvtc.com. Roy will be keeping a calendar and coordinating teams. Thank you for your willingness to help fellow Texans and Pastor Gordon in Jesus’ name.

I LOVE NB

Jesus says that the world will know us by our love (John 13:35). Our hearbeat should be for others. FBCNB should be known for our love. To help communicate this drive, we are excited to dub our local missions ministry "I Love NB." We "Love NB" because God first loved us, and we are excited to lead people to Jesus. What better way to lead people to Jesus than by serving them with love? We desire to be "salt and light" to our neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family. We "Love NB" by providing school supplies, praying for First Responders, delivering Thanksgiving baskets, and witnessing to our neighbors. Please join us as we commit to "Love NB."

Family Promise

Family Promise helps homeless families regain independence by providing transportation, job training, life skills classes, a day center, and more while they work to get back on their feet. FBCNB and other local churches take turns hosting the families for one week four times a year, providing meals, fellowship, and a place to sleep.
