God’s people sing.  At First Baptist Church, we strive to bring meaningful corporate worship into the life of every believer.  Seamlessly blending current songs of praise with the best from other generations results in vibrant, relevant worship bringing every believer out of a cultural desert into the presence of the eternal King.

OPPORTUNITIES

Sanctuary Choir-  Each and every Sunday, the Sanctuary choir leads worship.  The choir presents a wide variety of varying musical styles.  Twice a year, major programs with full orchestra  fill the sanctuary with praise.  The Choir has also staged numerous Broadway style musicals on multiple nights.  Membership is open to any anyone with a heart to sing.  There are no audition requirements.

Youth Choir-Our youth choir performs on mission trips across America.  Whether it’s rebuilding hurricane damage housing in New Orleans, working with Navajo Indians in Arizona or leading sports camps in Vermont, the young people in the youth choir of First Baptist Church learn to make a difference in life.  Graduates of the choir have gone on to missions literally around the world.  The youth choir also produces a Christmas Dinner Theatre as well as singing in worship.  Some of our young people also participate in the Texas Baptist All State Youth Choir each summer.  Membership is limited to all youth grades 7-12.

Graded Choirs– Preschool, Children and Preteens also have a voice in the music of First Baptist Church.  Meeting during the school year, these groups  develop musical skills as well as learn about worship.  They sing in church and at such events as Wassailfest.

Hand bells– Playing in the community as well as in church, the hand bell choir of First Baptist Church plays a wide variety of music ranging from classic to contemporary. Our bells have rung in Natural Bridge Caverns as well as the streets of New Braunfels.  Contact Wally Black if you would like to ring.
